At the request of a group of Haddonfield residents, this page has been set up by Go4theGoal Foundation, a non-profit pediatric cancer foundation, to support Jason Garstkiewicz, a 7th grade Haddonfield Middle School student who was recently diagnosed with bone cancer and is currently undergoing treatment.

An avid sports enthusiast and athlete, Jason plays basketball, football and lacrosse. When he was first diagnosed, his lacrosse teammates wanted to do something to show their support. Their parents reached out to Go4theGoal Foundation to order a few hundred NEON yellow shoelaces to distribute to kids around town to show both support for him and his family and to raise awareness about pediatric cancer in the community.

Within hours they had orders for almost 1,000 laces, and "Lace-Up & Help Kick Pediatric Cancer" was born. Due to the overwhelming demand, they ordered an additional 3,000 laces! All Haddonfield sports teams are wearing the laces and plan to continue throughout their spring seasons. Several local towns and school districts have asked to be part of this campaign and to support Jason as well.

The laces will be on sale for $3 per pair at Haddonfield’s three Elementary Schools and Middle School on Wednesday, February 8th. Shoelace sales will also be held February 11th & 12th, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. in Kings Court, and all weekend at HerSport and Haddonfield Running Company, all located on Kings Hwy. in Haddonfield.

Proceeds will benefit both Jason and his family and the Go4theGoal Foundation. Laces are also available for purchase at Shop G4G on the Go4theGoal web site by clicking here.

Monetary donations are also welcome. A percentage of your donation will go directly to the Garstkiewicz Family, the balance to Go4theGoal to continue its support of pediatric cancer patients across the country.
