September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Aspetuck Valley Country Club hosted an afternoon of competitive coed tennis matches, beginning at 2:00 PM.  Members and guests joined our 2nd Annual Go4theGoal Tennis event!  An early buffet dinner and cocktails followed.

Each player donated $150 for this event to help support Go4theGoal Foundation achieve the ultimate goal...curing pediatric cancer...every game, set, match point at a time.

EVENT HISTORY

On Saturday, September 25, 2010, the Glass family hosted their first annual G4G tennis event at Aspetuck Valley Country Club in Connecticut. Friends and family along with very supportive club members raised over $6,000 in an effort to support our family’s cause. The event was masterminded and coordinated by the director of tennis, Juan Arraya. He captured the talents of 30 plus players in a competitive round robin best of four game rotation.

After two hours of play, Daniel Bara came in first place with the most games won. Congratulations! Every player had an opportunity to beat the pro in singles and in doubles. Bruce Kallins took home the prize and beat the singles pro in one game. The end of the day was celebrated with cocktails, a tasty dinner and an entertaining pro exhibition by Juan and other local pros. A successful day of fun and fundraising for G4G!!
