Dr. Elizabeth Lawlor, M.D. Ph.D. - University of Michigan

A rising star in Ewing's Sarcoma research, G4G awarded a $90,000 grant to Dr. Elizabeth Lawlor, M.D. Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics and Pathology at the University of Michigan.  Dr. Lawlor used this grant to purchase the Biosperix Xvivo incubation system. This piece of equipment allows cells to grow in conditions that are as similar as possible to their natural environment.

The Lawlor Lab is gaining insights into both the origins of pediatric sarcomas and the biology of cancer stem cells by evaluating the similarities and differences between normal stem cell development and cancer.  Learn more about Dr. Lawlor's research...
