Since this has all unfolded, Rich and I have never asked why us...why him. We accepted what has come our way and adjusted our lives to the "new normal" for us. We have regrouped and will be stronger than ever. Yes, we are pained for Richard and for how this has and will affect our family. But we realize that, as Uncle Randy put it, out of everyone we know, he is the one who can get through it! He will be able to handle it...and maybe that is why it is Richard. Don't feel sorry for him or for us. Stay positive and strong...for him and for us. Things happen for a reason. Everyone who is touched by the card that was dealt to us will hopefully see why Richard is in your life.
